The Person Behind Platinum Yachts Sdn Bhd
Born in Penang in May 1969, Patrick Theseira brings over three decades of professional experience, beginning his career in the aviation industry in 1989 before transitioning fully into the marine sector in 2015. His journey into yachting started earlier in 2011 with the establishment of Platinum Charters Sdn Bhd, which quickly grew into a successful yacht charter business.
Over the years, Patrick has developed a comprehensive marine ecosystem, expanding beyond charter services into yacht management and marina management. His business approach spans both B2B and B2C markets, positioning his ventures as full-scale solutions within the industry.
In 2024 and 2025, Patrick led his team in successfully organising the Royal Pahang F3000 Powerboat Championship, an international-level event held in conjunction with Pesta Kuantan. Celebrating the birthdays of HRH Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and HRH Tengku Ampuan Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, the event attracted between 100,000 to 120,000 spectators each year, reinforcing his capability in delivering large-scale, high-impact marine events.
Platinum Yachts Sdn Bhd represents the next evolution of his vision—creating a stronger, more accessible yachting industry in Malaysia. The company is building the first dedicated yacht marketplace platform in Malaysia and South East Asia, designed to connect buyers and sellers seamlessly. Patrick encourages all industry players and enthusiasts to fully utilise this platform as a central hub for yachting in the region.
